How to Use Flock Heat Transfer Vinyl

1. Create & Mirror Your Design
Prepare your artwork and mirror it before cutting.

2. Cut the Flock HTV
Cut with the flock side facing up using a suitable blade and cutting setting.

3. Weed the Design
Remove the excess material carefully, leaving the desired design on the carrier.

4. Position & Press
Place the design on the fabric and heat press at 155–160°C (311–320°F) for 10–15 seconds using medium pressure (3–5 kg).

5. Cold Peel
Allow the material to cool completely, then peel away the carrier carefully.

Unlike standard red HTV, which typically has a smooth surface, Red Flock HTV features a high-density flock layer that creates a soft, raised, suede-like texture. The dense fibers give the red color a fuller and richer appearance, while the raised surface adds noticeable depth and dimension to the finished design. It also provides a softer hand feel and a more tactile finish, making it a practical alternative when a textured, embroidery-like appearance is desired. At the same time, the material is designed for easy cutting and weeding, allowing the flock effect to be achieved through a heat-transfer process rather than traditional embroidery.
Can Flock HTV be used for layered designs?

It is not recommended for layered applications. The raised flock surface and product structure are better suited to single-layer designs.
What fabrics can this Flock HTV be applied to?

The flock heat transfer vinyl suitable for acrylic, cotton, cotton/polyester blends, polyester/acrylic blends and uncoated polyester. Not suitable for nylon fabrics.
